Having 7 years experience teaching all ages, ethnicities and social backgrounds, I am well aware of the different needs of different kinds of people. I am organized, very energetic, reliable and hard working. In fact, my main interest in being in Bonn, besides my girlfriend, is to study German at one of the institutes. I take a laid back approach to teaching because I believe that if someone is not enjoying learning, then they will never learn anything. My name is Heidi T , I’m 24 yrs old and am currently completing my final semester in my Master of teaching (primary) degree at Sydney University. I completed my a Bachelor of Science (majoring in linguistics)at Macquarie University in 2006, but decided to follow my passion of working with children, thus began my masters of teaching degree.

I have had over 4 years experience in tutoring primary school children (years ranging from kindergarten to year 6) and have loved challenging my students in activities that engage and interest them which ensures improvement and development in their work.

I offer general tuition of school homework, home reading skills, spelling and grammar, maths and science. Any specific area that your child needs help in can be addressed and focused on.

I am available on Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays afternoons and evenings. I live in Wahroonga area, I can offer tutoring sessions at my home, or. if within the north shore area, I can arrange to conduct tutoring sessions in your own home.

I'm very patient and understanding especially since we all come from different backgrounds and have many different ways of taking in and out what we are being taught.

I listen to my students. I cater both for what they need and what they feel comfortable with, as each student is different. I am flexible, friendly and laid back, while determined to help in any way I can.

I have a strong academic background in multifarious subjects and am confident in my abilities to meet the needs of any and all students. I am highly animated, as I was in theatre arts programs for five years and acted in as well as directed several plays. I have a friendly disposition and am extremely patient. I learned immense patience from volunteering with mentally/physically disabled and abused children. I form personal relationships with my students and make them feel completely comfortable with me. I refrain from acting superior or making my students feel inadequate. My sessions are intimate and I continually instill a sense of pride in my students and encourage them in any way possible. I have a profound desire to enrich the minds of young people. I am very tenacious and have staunch work ethics, and these attributes are evident in all endeavors I undertake.
